We have created this site to bring awareness to the public as well as bring justice and liberty to Mr. Wesley Snipes who has been harshly sentenced to a three (3) year prison term for three (3) MISDEMEANOR counts of willful failure to file income taxes NOT for tax evasion. He was NEVER charged or convicted of tax evasion. It is clear that Mr. Snipes’ constitutional rights to a fair trial had been violated from the very beginning of the process and throughout his trial in 2008. Moreover, most media outlets have been misreporting him as a “tax evader” and/or “tax protestor” when in fact Mr. Snipes was never charged or convicted of tax evasion. In fact, Mr. Snipes paid over $30 million in taxes over the last 10 years. He had no intention to not pay taxes, contrary to the misconception created by media. The truth is that he paid taxes but failed to file the 1040 forms for those three years in question.
There has been clear evidence and factors of the prosecution’s misconduct during the trial that was presented to Judge Hodges, the Judge who imposed the maximum three (3) years of imprisonment on the misdemeanor convictions. Judge Hodges stated at the sentencing hearing after the jury had acquitted Mr. Snipes of the tax fraud charges that he was going to make him an example. Soon thereafter, Judge Hodges denied Mr. Snipes’ appeal, refused to interview the jurors who stepped forward, rejected to grant him a new and fair trial as well as denied the emergency bail Mr. Snipes filed in hopes to stay with his children during the holiday season. Instead of having any compassion, he denied everything and rushed him to prison. On December 9, 2010, Mr. Snipes began serving the three (3) year sentence term for three (3) misdemeanor convictions.
More details on the facts about Mr. Snipes’ misdemeanor case can be found on Free Wesley Snipes Facebook page and @FreeSnipes on Twitter.
Before Mr. Snipes was a well-known star, he was, and still is, a deeply loved and respected father, husband, brother and son to his family, and underneath it all, he is a proud American citizen who reserves his constitutional rights to a fair trial, just like any of us.
We believe what happened to Wesley Snipes can happen to any of us. How this kind of travesty of justice was enforced upon a man, especially who is of resolve and revenue, should make us think about the real truth where our justice system is concerned.
So please join the “Free Snipes Now” campaign to show support for your fellow citizen, friend and artist Wesley Snipes and also for the sake of justice in our country.
By signing the petition located at the link below, you will not only help bring Wesley Snipes home to his family but you will also assist in increasing public awareness of how our constitutional rights can be attacked and violated, right in front of your eyes.

!!!FREE WESLEY SNIPES!!!

Greetings:
We have been following the story and case regarding Mr. Snipes and feel strongly that there there is an imbalance and miscarriage of justice. While we have offered to help, we have not heard back from neither the legal team or support groups or individuals in order to possibly organize needed actions that would not serve as a means to facilitate information to the masses but to also obtain greater support for an earlier release.
While a petition is of course a good thing to do, there are many other things that can and should be implemented.
We look forward to assisting in the campaign to free Mr. Snipes expeditiously.
in my openion i think the department of justice in america is weak or possibly bayersed in thier so called legal proceedings and that is enough to cloud their judgement,so am not surprised at what the judge has don because wesley is well respected man even here in nigeria and he reminds me of the great malcolm X.whoever is in charge of the case should please tamper justice with mercy and let wesley snipes go back home to his family thank you .
